Anne Stirrup was living with her son John at 25 Princes street during the census of 1861. Ann had two lodgers to help share costs. Apparently she reverted to using the surname stirrup once all the Wycherley children moved out of home. This would be less confusing for John Stirrup, the last child she had. Her daughter Maria Wycherley was living a few streets away in Castle street. Princes street still exists today although it is really not much more than an alley. According to old maps the layout has remained the same since at least 1860. The entrance arch on Victoria street was created between 1860 & 1888.
