The Forrester’s were a very important line of the Stevenson family and if not for some unkown event in Hugh Grant Forrester´s youth then I would probably be called David Albert Forrester now. Similar to the Lockley connection the Forrester´s history was founded in the villages of Shropshire. Notably Edgmond and Cheswardine which was a neighboring village to Hinstock is where we find the most records. The grave of Thomas Forrester 4th and his wife Jane can still be found next to Cheswardine´s village church ie. st. Swithun´s. The church is well worth a visit and can easily be combined with avisit to Hinstock. Our forebears seem to have been successful farmers.
