When Thomas Forrester was born in 1779 in Cheswardine, Shropshire, his father, Thomas, was 40 and his mother, Hannah, was 40. He married Jane Plumb on 17 November 1803 in his hometown. They had five children in 17 years. He died in 1836 in Market Drayton, Shropshire, at the age of 57.
